I had a huge set of knives in a knife block, but realized I only used 3 of them. I wanted to just be able to throw them in a drawer, safely. I needed a cover for my 7" Santoku and this set had one that fit perfectly. I also have a 6" chef knife, but I cut the large chef knife cover down with my saw to make it fit.The covers are snug without being difficult to get off and they protect the edges of my expensive knives without taking up any space. I live in fear of whomever needs the covers for the huge cleavers, though!**** Update: User error: I didn't see that the chef knife would fit all the way in. I eventually found the proper way, and now the cover covers it all. I have updated my rating accordingly. Would recommend.The covers seem durable. For the knives that fit, they slide in smoothly and snugly. However, for a standard size chef knife that it was supposed to fit, it leaves about 2 inches of the blade exposed. So in that case, better than nothing, but still need to be careful.I only needed one of these for a particular knife. Now I can take it out of the package and put it in a drawer. It's a little shorter than I would like, but still the blade is mostly protected.I got these protectors to put on my knives then store them on a magnet bar. They work great for what I wanted but have one thing to say about them. One size does not fit all knives. I was able to use 3 of the 9 as they fit my knives. I wish the others did.Some of the covers didn’t fix my knivesRecently bought a Nakiri knife which did not come with a blade sheath. This one fit beautifully. In time I will find a use for the others in the set. They are well made and should last a lifetime.I am a professional chef and I was specifically looking for a cleaver cover, I was going to buy an individual one for $7 and then I saw this set for 10 bucks, I got it and I am able to use almost all of these covers for various knives that I keep in my knife bag. I don't know the durability yet I will update my review later, but they seem very versatile and I'm happy with themFits my knives perfectly. At the result ,I covered only four knife's and the rest of covers I am not using because they not fit for my knife.Anspruchsvolles Design, sehr sichere Verwahrung der Messer.
